If we talk about PC versions of the game – then everything is even very interesting in terms of management, the management of the machines itself is not arcade, but not completely simulative. Each car has weight, and you need to control carefully and persistently.
After the second part – the player needs to learn how to balance gas, actively use the brake, and even pull the handbrake in time on steep turns. Even now, such a machine control leaves much more emotions than modern series games.

Differences in versions
Here it is probably worth recalling that the version on the PC and PS 1 have a large number of differences. I repeat that the versions for PS are already familiar to us EA Canada, And EA Seattle – who developed Need for Speed II SE, and now they were responsible for the PC version of the game. This is a really ambiguous solution from the publisher.
Differences begin with the main menu. How wonderful the main menu for the first curling is made – such a not unambiguous main menu for an audit PC, of course in my opinion. Hud in the race also looks better for the Play station and more designed than on the stove, since each machine was displayed for a speedometer screen. There was no room for the cockpit of the camera on the curling iron, and in the future there will be no such camera for PS, hell knows why it happened, maybe this is due to prop hardly 3DFX for PC. Although I hurried about the curling iron, but again this is in the next part of the Need for Speed.
We return to the differences – in addition to obvious things that the cars have fewer landfills – on the PC of models there are a rearview mirrors and reflections with general lighting looks and is not bad now, thanks to the same 3DFX, but for me – the PS1 version will remain more canonical, I love it more, you already excuse the Boyal PC. Again, I repeat that in the console version there was initially a different color of the interface, and Ferrari was available for chases.
Also, this part could be released for Nintendo 64 – but something went wrong in the process of porting, and instead of NFS EA it rolled out the game – Beetle Adventure Racing!
Secrets
In this part there are not really secrets in fact, but there is something to tell – the main points are also hidden in the names, and this works exclusively for the PlayStation. To activate hidden tracks, you need to enter the codes instead of the name of the player, and the corresponding tracks will open. I will say a few words about them, you still don’t stop me, haha!
