Regardless of data presentation or format, content is transformed into the markup language of any wireless device. Wireless requests are received and authenticated, the content is retrieved in XML, and converted for the requesting device. Oracle9iAS Wireless content adapters work with a wide variety of sources. Oracle9iAS Wireless device transformers convert the XML received from the Web service's adapter to the markup language appropriate for the requesting wireless device. Users can personalize their wireless profile for different applications and different devices, create and organize bookmarks, folders, buddy lists, and presets. Content can be personalized by device, making only relevant content appear in appropriate ways for each different device. Oracle9iAS Wireless supports various specialized usages.
