Microsoft offers a number of technical certification programs to the IT professional that provide a recognition of technical competencies and skills. I began my certification journey in 1996 when I became a Microsoft Certified Professional as a consultant with Infogenics, a Microsoft Solution Partner in Silicon Valley.
The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) credential is the premier certification for professionals who analyze the business requirements and design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows® 2000/2003 platform and Microsoft .NET Enterprise Servers.
By earning the premier MCSE credential, individuals are demonstrating that they have the skills necessary to lead organizations in the successful design, implementation, and administration of the most advanced Windows operating system and Microsoft .NET Enterprise Servers. Implementation responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems.
The Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) on Microsoft Windows 2000 certification is designed for professionals who implement, manage, and troubleshoot existing network and system environments based on the Microsoft Windows® 2000 and Windows .NET Server platforms.
Microsoft certification is a leading credential that validates
your experience and skills to keep you competitive in today's
changing business environment. Certification provides professionals
with a credential that acknowledges their skills with Microsoft
products.
The Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) credential is for
professionals who have the skills to successfully implement a
Microsoft product or technology as part of a business solution in an
organization.
Recognizing this need for technical proficiency, I became a
certified professional on the Windows 3.1 platform and have upgraded
the credential through the NT 3.1, NT 3.51, NT4 platforms to the
current Windows 2000 technology.
